This December we had a lot of cold, cloudy, wet days. So we spent a lot of time indoors. We've been coloring (Olivia is obsessed with markers right now), painting, playing with play dough, and playing with a Christmas discovery bin.
We had our first snow of the season about a week ago. It was like a mini blizzard. It started with nice, wet, fat flakes, but quickly turned into icy, yucky, dry snow. Not the kind we wanted to go out and play in. We really didn't get that much once the wind finished blowing it all away.
I was really excited for Olivia to experience her first snow that she could play with, but it was way too windy and cold outside to play. So I brought some snow inside and put it in plastic containers to play with. She really seemed to like it and played with it for quite a while.
During the week of Christmas, Daddy took off of work for a few days. We went to the Children's Discovery Museum and the library as a family. It was nice to have Daddy around to play with Olivia.
