Christmas Cards & Early Thanksgiving

This weekend was a whirlwind of activity. We had our Christmas card photo shoot at the zoo on Saturday morning. We had our pictures taken with a reindeer. It was a lot of fun. Olivia was really interested in the reindeer, and we had a hard time getting her to look at the camera. She didn't smile, but she looked cute anyway.

Today we had an early Thanksgiving dinner with both of Olivia's grandmas at YaYa's house. Olivia was a little piggy. She loved the noodles, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes. Here's a picture of the mess she made!

Today also marks Olivia's 9-month birthday. I can't believe how quickly it has gone by already. She's 3/4 of a year old!

This week we are getting ready to drive 9+ hours to visit my dad for Thanksgiving. We are planning on driving at night so Olivia will sleep on the way there. We will pack up the car when Pete gets home from work and hit the road around bedtime. Pete and I will have to take turns driving and napping. And I think we'd better pack snacks because I'm not sure what will be open along the way!

I'm looking forward to seeing my dad's reaction to how much Olivia has changed since he came to visit us over the summer. She can sit up, she's eating food, she's very vocal, and she knows what she wants and wants it NOW!

I'll be sure to take lots of pictures of our trip to post when we get back.
